Remembrance Day

Did you know in world first and
second, animals helped the soldiers.

Today we are going to talk about some of the
animals that helped in the wars.

The first animal we will be talking about is
Bonfire the horse. During the war Bonfire was the one who carried the doctor in
to battle and out and sometimes soldiers that were shot, hurt or tired. He was
a big help.

The next animal we are goanna to talk about is Winnie the bear. Winnie was adopted as a mascot by a soldier from Winnipeg during the First World War. It was to dangerous for Winnie on the battle field. So she was sent to the London zoo. That inspired someone to make the movie “Winnie the Pooh”.

The next animal is Bandoola.

Bandoola only worked in the Second
World War. She was used to carry logs to build bridges. She also pulled army
trucks out of the mud when they were stuck. She also carried people accost
rivers.

That is all the animals we are going
to talk to you about.

These paragraphs have been written in
memory of our Canadian soldiers who have fought in these wars for us to have a
free life.
